Rugged Maniac Shuts Down

Yesterday, many of us received sad news regarding the end of one of our favorite obstacle course races Rugged Maniac. According to company communications, all 2024 races have been cancelled, effective immediately. Those who have already registered will receive a full refund.

The Rugged Maniac posted the following message below on the website.

The company was taking entries up until Tuesday of this week, which is why the sudden news came to a such a shock to many of us on Wednesday.

Rugged Maniac was one of the longest-running and consistent obstacle course race series in the nation. The mud run series was originally founded in 2010, and then would go on to get funding from Shark Tank in 2013. The series was then sold in 2018 for $10 million.
