NEWS: Team Ninja Association (TNA)

A new ninja warrior league has emerged this past week, the Team Ninja Association (TNA).

The league posted on their instagram page,

“Welcome to the Team Ninja Association! The idea of this is to have a team based professional ninja league that can be watched and enjoyed by ninjas and non ninjas alike.”

The new league’s competition format:

  • 8 teams of 3 compete on one long timed course made up of 3 smaller courses (speed, tech, burnout). One member of the team will do each course.

  • Each of the 3 courses are scored individually and then combined into one overall team score.

  • There are 3 rounds. After each round, half the teams get cut.

TEAMS

  • Each team is made up of 2 guys and 1 girl. It is up to the team to decide who does which course.

  • Teams are created with the idea of:

    • Having evenly matched teams.

    • Teammates who are familiar and/or would fit well as a team.

  • The eventual goal is to be able to create your own team, but get the team approved by the league ratings.

COURSE

The course has an overall time limit of 6 minutes. After each round, the time limit drops by 1 minute.

Speed - Total points accrued. If you fail, you move to the next obstacle.

Tech - Total points accrued. You have unlimited retries, but with a time limit.

Burnout - Furthest the fastest. If you fall, you’re done. This is an all hang course.

The first TNA competition will be held at Vitality Obstacle Fitness in Massachusetts.
March 10th at 6:00pm EST
