RECAP: Season 16: Episode 5 American Ninja Warrior

Tonight’s episode started off with Jay Flores taking on the course. The 34 year old science teacher from Florida took on the early obstacles with ease. When he reached the 5th obstacle Ring the Bells, he ran out of gas.

Jaleesa Himka from Colorado returned for her sophomore season of American Ninja Warrior. The teenager flew through the early obstacles, but fell on Ring the Bell.
Ahmed Amin delivered on Pole Vault, but fell on Double Twister.
Emma Pereyra flew past Double Twister, but fell on Dangerous Waters.
33-year old Caleb Dowden made it past the 3rd obstacle, but fell on Duck Duck Goose.
Conor Galvin hopped onto the course next. Galvin stayed calm and collected as he swung through the course. He hit a buzzer in 1 minute 47 seconds to be the first finisher of the night.
Paula Mejias Rodriguez from Puerto Rico slipped up and fell on Double Twister.
Megan Budway fell on Dangerous Waters.
Vinnie Castranova is a plumber from Florida. He had no trouble on the early obstacles, but fell on Ring the Bell.
Christopher Harding Jones from Marietta, GA was next. The 19 year old inspired so many with his motto of Living Wide. The teenager sped through Dangerous Waters, but fell on Duck Duck Goose.
Andrew East took on the course next. The 32-year old former NFL player made it past Pole Vault, but struggled on Double Twister.
Jeff Loftus showed his strength on the course, but fell on Ring the Bell.
Bob Reese from South Carolina was flying high, but the social media star became a victim of Ring the Bell.
Caitlyn Bergstrom-Wright from Seminole, FL made the first 2 obstacles look easy, but struggled on Dangerous Waters. Her husband David was up next. He hit a buzzer in 1 minute 17 seconds for a chance at the Mega Wall. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it up the 18 ft wall.
RJ Roman has had the fastest qualifying round for the past 4 seasons. Unfortunately he fell on Ring the Bells.
Dan Polizzi has competed 11 years and returned for his final season. Unfortunately, he fell on Dangerous Waters.
Bootie Cothran from Possum Kingdom returned for another run this season. At 54 years old, he flew through the course. He fell on Duck Duck Goose.
Ryan Stratis from South Carolina was on the 1st season of American Ninja Warrior. Unfortunately, he fell on Ring the Bells.
Jessie Graff is a 6-time national finalist. She was the first woman to complete Stage 1. The 40-year old Ninja veteran has been a fan favorite year after year. She was able to blast through the course and hit a buzzer.
Chris Staples made it past the first few obstacles with ease, but slipped up on Dangerous Waters.
Enzo DeFerrari Wilson electrified the crowd. He was able to it a buzzer in 1 minute 10 seconds for a chance at the Mega Wall, but didn’t make it up.
In the Runoffs, Josh Wagg went against Cal Plohoros for a spot in the Semi-Finals. Plohoros got ahead on Spring Forward and made it to the end for the win.
Caitlyn Bergstom went head to head against Emma Pereyra. The pair were fairly even up to the Wingnuts. Bergstrom made it to Hopscotch first and completed it for the win.
