RECAP: Season 16 Episode 4 American Ninja Warrior

The episode kicked off with the Seasons oldest competitor, 70-year old Tom Simek from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Tom made it through the first obstacle Pole Vault, but slipped up on Reel to Reel.

30-year old Chynna Hart from Fort Worth, TX tackled the course next. One of Chynna’s favorite things to do is drifting, which helps with controlling fear. She made it through Pole Vault, Reel to Reel, and Dangerous Waters. When it came to Duck Duck Goose, she slipped on the final transition.

Isaiah Waghiyi from Alaska performed a traditional dance before his run. Unfortunately he slipped up on Reel to Reel.

Ally Tippetts Wootton from Utah make it through the early obstacles but fell on Dangerous Waters.

32-year old Michael Eckert came up short on Duck Duck Goose.

Josh Miller from Sioux Falls, SD flew through the course and hit a buzzer in 1 minute 46 seconds.

Sydney Berger from Arizona came out ready to pounce on the course. Unfortunately, she fell on Pole Vault.

Jayden White from Austin, TX fell on Pole Vault.

Cristi Marie from Waterloo, IA fell on Pole Vault.

Celebrity personal trainer Eric Small slipped up on Reel to Reel.

Clarisa Morris fell on Dangerous Waters.

Chris Mazdzer is an olympic luge athlete. Unfortunately, Chris didn’t make the grab on Reel to Reel.

Karen Potts from North Potomac, MD made it through all the early obstacles, but fell on Jawbreaker.

6-time veteran Megan Johnson fell on Duck Duck Goose.

Stuntman Kyle Soderman blasted through the course in 1 minute 23 seconds. He didn’t qualify for the Mega Wall attempt, but still tried out the wall. Kyle beat the 18-foot all, but didn’t qualify for $20,000 prize.

Karsten “Big Kat” Williams from Fairview, TX flew the coure and made it to the buzzer in 1 minute 38 seconds.

Ninja veteran Karson Voiles from Utah showed off his “Karsonic Boom” before heading onto the course. He made it past the early obstacles, but fell on Jawbreaker.

The tallest competitor, 6’5” John Mack fell on Duck Duck Goose.

Francisco Barajas was able to wrestle the first 3 obstacles into submission, but fell on the 4th obstacle.

Josh Salinas from Houston, TX fell on Jawbreaker, but moved fast enough to qualify for the Semi-Finals.

Vance Walker, the 19-year defending Ninja Warrior Champion took on the course next. Vance blew through the course, hitting a buzzer in 1 minute 21 seconds.

Isaiah Lee the “One Eye Warrior” fell on Dangerous Waters.

Ricky Vu made a return after 6-years. Ricky fell on Duck Duck Goose.

In the Runoffs, Vu went against Michael Eckert. Eckert fell on the Wingnuts giving Vu the win.

Rachel Brown faced off with Ally Tippetts Wootton. The pair were even going through the course until the Wingnuts. Wootton made it to the buzzer first for the final spot in the Semi-Finals.
