RECAP: American Ninja Warrior Finals: Season 16 Episode 10 (S16:E10)

The next episode of American Ninja Warrior Finals aired Monday night. The stage 2 qualifier episode will feature ninjas racing head-to-head to secure a spot in the next round.

The show started off with Kai Beckstrand going against Sean “the Papal Ninja” Bryan. Kai secured a lead into Jawbreakers, but Sean caught up towards Air Surfer. Kai was able to take the lead toward the buzzer.

Luke Beckstrand and Nacssa Garemore were up next. Luke took the lead after Air Surfer, but fell on the Air Surfer obstacle. Nacssa was able to complete the course for the buzzer.

John Mack and Kyle Soderman were up next. John slipped up and fell on Jawbreakers, then Kyle fell on the Falling Shelves.

Elijah Browning and Isaiah Thomas were up next. The pair were fairly event leading up the Swing Surfer. Unfortunately Isaiah missed a beat and fell on Air Surfer. Elijah hit the buzzer at 1 minute 30 seconds.

Joe Meissner and Noah Meunier were up next. Joe fell on the Double Salmon Ladder, then Noah finished the course for the buzzer in 1 minute 19 seconds.

Jackson Twait and Cal Plohoros were up next. Cal hit the buzzer first, then Jackson.

Daniel Gil and Colton Skuster were next. Daniel took the lead toward the Air Surfer and hit the buzzer in 1 minute 39 seconds. Colton hit the buzzer in 1 minute 58 seconds.

Austin Gray and James McGrath were up next. Austin took the lead into the Double Salmon Ladder, hitting the buzzer in 1 minute 24 seconds. James hit the buzzer next.

Caleb Bergstrom and Max Feinberg were next. Caleb took the lead going into Swing Surfer. Caleb hit the buzzer in 1 minute 17 seconds, then Max in 1 minute 42 seconds.

Kaden Lebsack and Sam Folson were next. Kaden took the lead going into the Double Salmon Ladder, but slipped on the transition for Jawbreaker. Sam hit the buzzer in 1 minute 37 seconds.

Cam Baumgartner and Josiah Pippel were up next. Josiah took the lead into Jawbreakers, and hit the buzzer in 1 minute 24 seconds. Cam completed hit the buzzer in 1 minute 50 seconds.

Vance Walker and Flip Rodriguez were up next. The pair were even throughout the early obstacles, until Vance took the lead at Air Surfer. Vance hit the buzzer in 1 minute 18 seconds. Flip hit the buzzer in 1 minute 50 seconds.


Jackson Twait and Max Feinberg went next for the Runoffs. The pair were fairly even throughout, but Max slipped on the final transition of the Falling Shelves. Jackson hit the buzzer for the win.

James McGrath and Sean Bryan were next for the Runoffs. The pair were back and forth, but James slipped on the final transition of Falling Shelves, then Sean hit the buzzer for the win.

STAGE 3

The next portion of the show featured Stage 3 of the Vegas Finals course.

Ninja athletes who complete all the obstacles get a shot at Stage 4 and $1 million.

Cal Plohoros went first. Cal made it through the first two obstacles, but fell on the second transition of Slam Dunk.

Elijah Browning went next. Elijah made it through the dreadful Ultimate Cliffhanger, but struggled to make it past Pizza Party.

Daniel Gil went next. Daniel was the first of the night to make it past Pizza Party. He looked to be burned out after Pressure Cooker, but pushed through. Unfortunately, his grip gave out on Road Signs.

The final athlete to run for the episode was Kai Beckstrand. Kai made it through to Pressure Cooker with no issue. Kai pushed through and was able to hit the buzzer, finishing Stage 3.

Next week, the remaining athletes tackle Stage 3 for the finale, including Josiah Pippel, Sean Bryan, Austin Gray, Nacssa Garemore, Vance Walker, and Joe Moravsky. See you next week for another recap of American Ninja Warrior!
