What is American Ninja Warrior Junior?
American Ninja Warrior Junior is a reality television show that aired from 2018 to 2021. The show was designed to accomodate younger athletes aged 9 to 14 years old. There were three seasons with a total of 52 episodes.
Format
The athletes were divided into different age groups, including 9 to 10, 11 to 12, and 13 to 14 year olds. For each episode, every age group included 4 competitors. Boys and girls were not separated in their runs. Every episode had three winners, one for each age group.
Season 1
Season 1 of American Ninja Warrior Jr. aired on October 13, 2018 on the Universal Kids network. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila reprised their roles as course commentators with Laurie Hernandez as the on-course reporter. A great addition was ninja warrior mentors who competed on the adult version of the show, “American Ninja Warrior.” Mentors included Kevin Bull, Natalie Duran, Meagan Martin, Najee Richardson, and Barclay Stockett.

Season 2
Season 2 of the show aired on February 22, 2020 on the Universal Kids network. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila returned as course commentators with Paralympian and Gold Medalist swimmer Victoria Arlen as the on-course reporter.

Season 3
