9 Obstacle Course Races to Conquer

Whether you’re a seasoned OCR athlete or just up for a challenge, there are plenty of options when it comes to obstacle course races. Here are just a few races that will push you to your limits. Athletes who receive top placements could also qualify for the OCR World Championships.

1. Spartan Race

   • The spartan race is arguably one of the best known ocr races across the globe, with various distances available.

2. Tough Mudder

   • This race features 3 distances, including a 5k, 10k or 15k with up to 30 obstacles.

3. Savage Race

   • The Savage Race hosts 14 races during the year.

4. Conquer the Gauntlet

   • This race is hosted in Bixby, Oklahoma with up to 4 miles and 25 obstacles.

5. Rugged Maniac

   • The Rugged Maniac course features up to 25 obstacles.

6. Barbarian Challenge

   • The Barbarian Challenge is hosted in Gadsden, Alabama. The race is approximately 6 miles long with over 20 obstacles.

7. Cerus OCR

   • The CerusBolt features a 5k with over 20 obstacles.

8. Frontline OCR

   • This course features 30 obstacles that embody the physical hardships encountered daily in the line of duty.

9. WarX

   • This race is held in Ohio. The courses feature distances of 2 miles, 5k, or 10k, filled with adrenaline, explosions and two 350ft water slides.

The 2023 OCR World Championships will be held from Thursday, October 5, 2023 to Monday, October 9, 2023 in Mammoth Lakes, California.
